What I noticed
Sharp has been making solar panels since the 1960s — one of the longest-running solar manufacturers in the market — and the NUJC range is their current-generation residential platform. The NUJC430B delivers 430W at 22.02% module efficiency in a 1722×1134mm all-black 54-cell format.
This is Mono PERC rather than N-Type, but Sharp's manufacturing quality and 15-year product warranty (longer than the 12 years offered by most Mono PERC brands) reflect the engineering pedigree. The all-black aesthetic and standard 54-cell size make this a drop-in replacement for any contemporary residential panel.
Who it suits
Homeowners who want the Japanese-brand engineering reputation and longer-than-typical Mono PERC warranty without a premium price tag. At £58 per panel for 22% efficiency, this is one of the strongest £/W values in the comparison.
What I'd watch for
Mono PERC degrades faster than current N-Type cell technology (around 0.55%/year vs 0.40%), so cumulative output over 25 years is meaningfully lower than the N-Type panels here. Sharp's UK installer familiarity is good but lower than Jinko/Trina/JA Solar — confirm your installer has worked with NUJC panels before.
