LONGi Hi-MO X10 LR7-60HVH-540M

The Hi-MO X10 is LONGi's HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) flagship, built on the company's TaiRay N-type wafer. Like Aiko's ABC cells, HPBC 2.0 moves the contact structure to the rear of the cell — the busbar-free front face pushes module efficiency to 23.9% and improves shading tolerance versus conventional front-contact panels. This LR7-60HVH-540M is the 60-cell black-frame variant: at 540W it's the highest-output residential panel in our catalogue.

Degradation is rated at under 1% in year one and no more than 0.35% per year after that, backed by a 30-year linear performance warranty. Temperature behaviour is strong at −0.26%/°C, matching the best back-contact cells. LONGi is the world's largest solar wafer and module manufacturer, so long-term bankability and installer familiarity are about as good as the industry offers.

Who it suits

Maximum-output installs where you want the most generation per roof fixing from a top-tier manufacturer. The 60-cell format means fewer panels, fewer optimisers (if used) and less racking for a given system size — on a 10-panel roof this reaches 5.4kWp where standard 440W panels would give 4.4kWp.

What I'd watch for

The product warranty is 15 years — solid, but well behind the 25 years Aiko and REC offer on their flagship panels (the 30-year performance warranty is unaffected). At 1990mm this is the longest panel in our catalogue; verify roof fit before specifying. UK retail stock of the 540W variant is still thin, so expect price variation between suppliers and check lead times.
