What I noticed
The Neostar 3S+ is the third generation of Aiko's ABC (All Back Contact) technology, and the 530W dual-glass variant is the strongest residential panel Aiko sells in the UK. All electrical contacts sit on the rear of the cell, so the front face is a completely uninterrupted black surface — no busbars, no visible grid — which is why ABC panels lead mainstream efficiency tables at 23.9%.
This is a 60-cell format at 1954×1134mm, so it's a physically larger panel than the 54-cell modules most UK installers fit by default — you get 530W per roof fixing rather than 440–465W. The dual-glass construction (2.0mm tempered glass on both faces) supports a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty guaranteeing at least 88.85% of rated output in year 30, with the performance warranty underwritten by Munich Re. The panel is also bifacial: with a reflective surface behind it, Aiko rates it at 557W with 5% rear gain.
Who it suits
Roofs where space is the binding constraint and you want maximum generation per square metre — the combination of 23.9% efficiency and the larger 60-cell format squeezes the most watts out of a limited roof. The all-black dual-glass face is also the best-looking panel in our catalogue, if aesthetics drive the decision.
What I'd watch for
At 27.1kg and nearly 2m long, this is a heavy, large-format panel — confirm your installer's rail system and roof structure are specified for it, and that the 1954mm length actually fits your roof's courses. It also carries a real price premium per watt over one-generation-older panels; on an unshaded, unconstrained roof, cheaper TOPCon modules may deliver better £/kWh.
