What this means

SmartSolarHomes participates in affiliate programmes. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the seller. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you clicked a non-affiliate link.

Which links are affiliate

Affiliate links are clearly disclosed at the top of every page that contains them, using a yellow-tinted notice. Every affiliate link also has rel="nofollow sponsored" so search engines and accessibility tools can identify them.

How this affects our scoring

It doesn't. Scoring is calculated from published manufacturer specifications using a fixed weighted formula. We do not adjust scores or recommendations based on affiliate commissions. Products that pay no commission (Tesla Powerwall, manufacturer-direct EV chargers) are scored using the same criteria as products that do.

Networks we use

• Awin — for several EV charger brands.
• Direct manufacturer programmes — where available.

We do not currently use Amazon Associates.

What we never do

• Adjust scores or change recommendations to favour higher-paying affiliate partners.
• Hide which links are affiliate.
• Accept paid placement, paid reviews, or sponsored "Editor's Pick" placements.
