Zendure SolarFlow 4000 Mix Pro: Flagship Battery-Inverter at IFA 2026

Zendure is showing its SolarFlow Mix series again at IFA Berlin 2026 (4-8 September, Hall 2.2, Stand 124), and the model drawing most of the attention is the flagship: the SolarFlow 4000 Mix Pro. Unlike Zendure's original balcony-solar batteries, the Mix Pro is pitched as a genuine hybrid inverter replacement — an 8kWh battery with enough solar and AC input capacity, and a fast enough switchover, to sit at the centre of a whole-home energy setup rather than bolted onto one panel.

What's new versus the original SolarFlow batteries

The SolarFlow Mix series (4000 Mix Pro, 4000 Mix AC+ and 3000 Mix AC+) first launched across Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland in April 2026, and IFA is where Zendure is reintroducing it alongside its new Agentic HEMS software layer — a separate AI orchestration story we've covered on its own. Power and solar input

The 4000 Mix Pro carries an 8kWh LFP battery as standard, expandable to 50kWh with additional battery modules — a big jump from the sub-4kWh packs Zendure's balcony-solar range shipped a couple of years ago. On power, Zendure and independent coverage from Notebookcheck both put the unit at 4kW bidirectional AC output, with two 4,000W MPPT trackers giving up to 8kW of direct DC solar input, plus a dedicated AC-coupled port that can take a further 5kW from an existing rooftop inverter — up to 13kW combined across both paths. That AC-coupled port is the key retrofit feature: rather than replacing an existing solar inverter, the Mix Pro can sit alongside one and absorb its output into the battery, which is unusual for a plug-in unit at this price point.

Backup power and appliance load

Zendure quotes a UPS-style switchover of around 10 milliseconds when the grid drops, fast enough that most electronics and appliances won't reset or stall during the handover to battery power. Off-grid, the unit is rated for roughly 3.68kW continuous output (rising to 3,680W on the UK-market version specifically, see below), with a short 7,200W peak for around 200ms to cope with the startup surge of motors and compressors. That headroom is comparable to what Zendure has already demonstrated on its smaller SolarFlow 2400 AC+, which the company says can run a washing machine, dishwasher and air conditioning at the same time — the 4000 Mix Pro's higher continuous rating suggests it should comfortably clear that bar, alongside heavier single loads like an electric oven or a heat pump's compressor, though Zendure hasn't published a device-by-device compatibility list for the Mix Pro itself, so treat specific appliance combinations as indicative rather than guaranteed.

Direct EV charging isn't built into the 4000 Mix Pro's own ports; Zendure's charging story runs through its separate EVFlow AC wallbox, coordinated via the same HEMS software so that stored battery power can be prioritised for a car overnight — worth knowing if you're weighing this against a system built around vehicle-to-home (V2H) discharge from the car itself rather than a stationary battery.

Build and environment

The unit is IP65-rated for outdoor mounting, quoted at roughly 25dB at half load, and rated to run in temperatures from -20°C to +55°C on discharge (charging is limited to 0-55°C, which is normal for lithium chemistry). Zendure states 10,000 charge cycles to 70% remaining health, a 15-year design lifespan and a 10-year warranty, with 90% round-trip efficiency — broadly in line with other premium LFP home batteries rather than a step-change figure.

Price and UK availability

Zendure's European recommended retail price for the 4000 Mix Pro is €2,399, confirmed by both Notebookcheck and Zendure's own German pricing. In the UK specifically, Zendure sells what appears to be a regionally-adjusted version under the name SolarFlow 3680 Mix Pro — the “3680” referring to its 3,680W off-grid output ceiling, which lines up with the single-phase export limits UK installers work to under the G98 grid connection rules. Where it sits against the competition

Zendure isn't the only plug-in battery brand chasing whole-home ambitions at this year's show — Jackery's Ark AI EMS is making a similar case for AI-coordinated home power at IFA 2026. The pattern across both is the same: bigger batteries, higher continuous power ratings, and software layered on top to justify treating a plug-in unit as a genuine hybrid-inverter substitute rather than a balcony-solar accessory. The core power, capacity and pricing figures above are consistent across Zendure's own materials and independent coverage, but a few things aren't nailed down for UK buyers: a firm UK restock date for the SolarFlow 3680 Mix Pro, confirmed device-level appliance compatibility for the 4000/3680 Mix Pro specifically (as opposed to the smaller 2400 AC+), and independent lab or long-term review data on the claimed 10ms switchover and 10,000-cycle lifespan. Until UK stock returns and independent reviewers get hands-on time, treat this as a strong spec sheet rather than a fully proven UK product.
