Jackery Ark AI EMS: AI Home Energy Management Comes to IFA Berlin 2026

Jackery is putting the Jackery Ark AI EMS front and centre of its stand at IFA Berlin 2026 (Hall 2.2, Stand 114, 4–8 September), where the company is unveiling what it calls a next-generation smart energy line-up. The Ark AI EMS is an AI-powered home energy management system (HEMS) designed to act as the intelligent control centre for a household's solar, battery and grid power — continuously analysing generation, consumption, weather forecasts, battery status and electricity tariffs to decide, in real time, where power should go. It isn't new for IFA: Jackery gave it a global debut in June at Intersolar Europe / The smarter E Europe in Munich, and Berlin is where the system gets its highest-profile European stage yet, shown alongside a refreshed portable power range.

What does the Jackery Ark AI EMS actually do?

According to Jackery's own announcements, the Ark AI EMS goes beyond the basic charge/discharge logic built into most home batteries. It runs continuous real-time analysis of solar generation, household consumption, weather forecasts, battery charge levels and dynamic electricity tariffs, then applies one of three AI modes depending on the household's priority — maximising bill savings, maximising energy independence, or a balance of both. Jackery says the system is predictive rather than purely reactive: if it expects a low-solar day ahead, it can deliberately hold back stored charge instead of using it, and it can pre-charge during cheap dynamic-tariff windows for use later. Crucially, Jackery frames the AI as decision support rather than an autonomous black box — the companion app is meant to show why a decision was made, and owners can override any automated choice manually. Similar reasoning already underpins time-of-use tariff strategies for solar households, just automated rather than manual.

How does it fit with the rest of Jackery's system?

The Ark AI EMS is designed to sit on top of Jackery's SolarVault 3 battery storage series, coordinating it with solar input and grid usage through a single app that shows generation, storage and consumption in one dashboard. Jackery describes it as an open system built to support third-party platforms and additional energy services over time, rather than a closed box tied only to Jackery hardware. The company also says core functions keep working under limited or unstable internet connectivity, and that the system can provide backup power during outages — positioning it against established home battery storage systems that pair a battery with a separate, less integrated app and inverter.

At the Berlin stand, the Ark AI EMS shares billing with a second-generation Explorer Plus portable power range (1000, 2000 and 3600 models), a new FridgeGuard backup power unit, solar roof tiles and the EnergyGuard Max storage system. Brady Sun, Jackery's Head of Europe, said the Berlin showing marks a shift for the brand: "IFA 2026 marks a major milestone in Jackery's evolution. We are moving beyond standalone portable power," positioning the Ark AI EMS as the connective layer across that wider product range rather than a standalone gadget.

What's still unconfirmed

Jackery hasn't published UK pricing, a UK release date, or detailed hardware specifications (capacity, PV input, dimensions) for the Ark AI EMS in any of its announcements so far — the Munich and Berlin material both focus on what the software does rather than on numbers. It also isn't yet clear whether the system will be sold and installed through the same MCS-certified installer routes as rival home batteries, which matters for anyone comparing it against the installed cost of established UK options.
