Jackery is showing the Energycore, a 100kWh liquid-cooled residential battery, at IFA Berlin 2026 (Hall 2.2, Stand 114, 4–8 September). It's paired with a new PowerVault 50 three-phase hybrid inverter, and the pairing is a different animal from the rest of Jackery's Berlin line-up: it's built for larger homes and off-grid sites, not the balcony-scale storage of the SolarVault 3 or the portable Explorer Plus v2. Jackery didn't have a dedicated display explaining the system in depth on the show floor, but confirmed the specs below and said more detail is coming.

What the Energycore + PowerVault 50 system is

Energycore is a floor-mounted outdoor battery cabinet built around an 800V lithium-ion architecture (120V–800V operating range), storing 100kWh in a single unit. Jackery says it runs a liquid-cooling system that holds cell-to-cell temperature variance to within ±3°C — tighter thermal control than the air-cooled home batteries most UK installers currently fit, and a meaningful factor in long-term cycle life at this scale. Maximum charge/discharge current is rated at 2 × 80A. The matching PowerVault 50 inverter delivers 50kW nominal AC output at 230/400V with full three-phase, 100%-unbalanced-load support, and takes up to 100kW of solar input across four independent MPPT trackers (150–950V DC window). Jackery quotes a peak efficiency of 98.6% and says the inverter supports DC/AC oversizing up to 200% — useful where a site has more panel capacity than the inverter's nominal rating. Built for installation by machinery, not by hand

At around 1.5 tonnes, Energycore isn't a unit an installer wheels into a utility cupboard. The cabinet has four crane hooks built into the housing specifically for lifting it into place, and Jackery has designed the whole package around logistics: getting it off a lorry and onto a base pad is expected to need a small crane or similar plant on site, not just a two-person installer team. That's a genuinely different installation model from anything else in Jackery's current range, and it signals the system is aimed at new-build, commercial-adjacent or off-grid projects with proper groundworks — not a retrofit add-on for an existing UK semi. Backup performance is rated for 150% peak capacity (75kW for 10 seconds) with a sub-10-millisecond UPS transfer time and black-start capability, plus a dedicated 50kVA diesel generator port for hybrid off-grid setups. The cabinet carries an IP66 ingress rating and an operating range of -40°C to 60°C, both wider than the IP65 and -20°C-to-55°C figures Jackery quotes for the smaller SolarVault 3.

Safety claims: the same FortiShield framework, at a bigger scale

Jackery is applying its FortiShield safety system, announced across its wider IFA 2026 range, to Energycore too: cell-level origin protection, intelligent BMS monitoring, heat-insulating structural design, fault and emergency protection, extreme-environment resistance and end-to-end data privacy. As with the rest of the FortiShield claims, none of this is independently audited — it's Jackery's own framework, applied consistently across tiers rather than unique to this product. At 100kWh in a single cabinet, thermal and fire-safety engineering matters more than it does for a portable power station, so how these claims hold up under UK certification (BS EN, UL 9540A-style testing) is worth watching once Jackery publishes third-party test data, rather than taking the marketing framework at face value.

Availability: Jackery says 1-2 years, not now

This is the important caveat: Jackery representatives at IFA told press the system is roughly 1-2 years away from production and retail availability, while the company finishes the build and works out a go-to-market strategy. Energycore at IFA 2026 is a prototype-stage showcase, not a product with a price list or an order date — there's no UK launch window, no confirmed pricing, and no confirmed installer or MCS-certification route yet.
