Enphase built its UK reputation on IQ microinverters, but it also sells a home battery: the IQ Battery 5P. Unlike a DC-coupled all-in-one such as the GivEnergy AIO or Tesla Powerwall 3, the IQ Battery 5P is AC-coupled and has six microinverters built into the unit itself — a genuinely different architecture from most of the batteries reviewed on this site. The GivEnergy AIO and Tesla Powerwall 3 are both DC-coupled, single-box systems with the inverter and battery bundled into one purchase, higher continuous output, and 10-year warranties. The Pylontech US5000 is a bare 48V module that needs a separate compatible hybrid inverter — cheaper per kWh, but with the inverter and its warranty priced and sourced separately.
