What I noticed
Solis (Ginlong Technologies) is one of the world's largest solar inverter manufacturers and is particularly strong in the value tier. The S6-GR1P3.6K-DC is their current single-phase 3.6kW residential inverter with dual MPPT and integrated DC isolator.
At under £300, this is the cheapest tier-1 inverter in the UK market at this power rating. Specs (98.2% peak efficiency, 600V max DC input, integrated DC switch) match premium brands at less than half the price. The trade-off is a less polished monitoring app and shorter UK warranty support response times.
Who it suits
Budget-conscious installs where the per-£ generation is the priority. Especially strong for solar-only installs where no battery integration is planned.
What I'd watch for
Solar-only — for batteries use the Solis S6 hybrid variant. Monitoring app is functional rather than polished. UK warranty support quality varies by installer.
