What I noticed
Growatt is the most-installed solar inverter brand in the UK, with the MIN series their current-generation residential string platform. The MIN 5000TL-X is the 5kW variant with dual MPPT, AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection, and built-in DC switch.
5kW sits between the G98 limit (3.68kW) and typical larger residential needs — pair with a slightly larger panel array (typically 12-14 × 430W panels) for whole-house solar coverage. Requires G99 grid application.
Who it suits
UK installs in the most common residential size band (4-6kW peak generation). Growatt's maximum installer familiarity makes this the lowest-friction pick for value-tier installs.
What I'd watch for
Solar-only — for batteries use the Growatt MIX or SPH hybrid variants. AFCI is a real safety feature but adds minor install complexity. Growatt monitoring is functional rather than polished.
