What I noticed
Sigenergy is a newer entrant (2023-24) building single-box hybrid inverters with proprietary DC-coupled battery modules and AI-assisted scheduling via the mySigen app. The EC-SP 3.6kW is their smallest UK single-phase unit, sized for arrays under 4kW.
Unlike this category's solar-only string inverters, the SigenStor Energy Controller has a built-in battery port and seamless EPS backup — it pairs with Sigenergy's own stackable BAT modules (1-6 units) rather than third-party batteries, so it's a closed ecosystem choice.
Who it suits
Smaller single-phase installs wanting battery-ready hardware and backup power from day one, and who are comfortable committing to Sigenergy's own battery line rather than shopping third-party.
What I'd watch for
Sigenergy is a young brand in the UK market — track record and installer familiarity are still building. Proprietary battery ecosystem means no third-party battery flexibility. Weight and dimensions were not independently confirmed at the time of writing.
