What I noticed

Hypervolt's Home 3 Pro is the current-generation residential charger from the UK manufacturer best known for app-led smart features. The 7.4kW tethered Space Grey variant ships with a 7.5m cable, RFID access control, on-board metering with MID compliance, and dynamic load balancing on a single CT clamp install.

The solar diversion mode tracks PV export second-by-second and ramps the charge rate to match, similar to Zappi but with what users consistently rate as a more polished mobile app. Integration with Octopus Energy, OVO, and other smart tariffs is mature, and the device updates over the air without installer involvement.

Who it suits

Solar households who want the best charging app on the market, and homeowners who care about aesthetics — the Hypervolt finish (Ultrawhite, Spacegrey, Ultrablack) is significantly more upmarket than most competing units. Single-phase only.

What I'd watch for

Among the most expensive 7kW single-phase chargers — you're paying for the app polish and the finish, not extra kW. No untethered (socket) variant in the Home 3 Pro line. RFID is included by default which may be unnecessary cost for a typical single-household install.
