What I noticed
EO's Mini Pro 3 is the third generation of the smallest mainstream smart EV charger on the UK market — barely larger than a fist, designed to disappear into the building line. The 7.2kW untethered (socketed) variant takes any standard Type 2 cable and supports OCPP for integration with fleet management platforms (EO's core market is commercial fleets).
Smart features include solar-aware charging via the EO app, dynamic load balancing, scheduled charging for cheap tariff windows, and over-the-air firmware updates. The IP54 weatherproof housing is rated for full outdoor installation. EO is a British company (Bedfordshire) with strong UK technical support.
Who it suits
Homeowners who want the smallest possible footprint without sacrificing smart features. Also a strong choice for landlords or businesses managing multiple chargers, since EO's OCPP support and back-office tools are mature.
What I'd watch for
Solar-divert isn't as accurate as Zappi or Hypervolt — EO's smart features are app-scheduled rather than real-time PV-tracking. The Mini Pro 3 lacks built-in RFID; for shared spaces, look at the EO Genius 2 instead. Untethered means you supply (and store) the cable.
