What I noticed
If you want to get paid for surplus export via the Smart Export Guarantee, your energy supplier will require a MID-certified generation meter that records how much electricity your panels produce. The meter mounts on a DIN rail inside your consumer unit enclosure or an adjacent enclosure — your electrician will wire it during the sign-off visit. Keep the certification paperwork for your SEG application.
