What I noticed
This is the correct cable for runs between solar panels and the inverter. Use H1Z2Z2-K or EN50618-rated cable — not standard flex, not twin-and-earth, not extension leads. The UV stabilisation matters for cable runs on the roof surface. Use 6mm² for any DC home-run over 5m to keep voltage drop below 2%.
How much to order
Measure the longest panel-to-panel run, add the roof-to-inverter run (including the route through the building), and double it (positive and negative). Add 20% for routing and dressing. A 10-panel, 2-storey install typically needs 20–30m total.
