BLUETTI Elite mini Series: Smaller, Lighter Portable Power at IFA 2026

BLUETTI used IFA Berlin 2026 (4-8 September, Messe Berlin) to launch its Elite mini Series — a new line of ultra-compact portable power stations designed to shrink the footprint of its existing Elite V2 range without cutting capacity. Three models make up the series, alongside a separate, much larger Pioneer 5000 portable generator aimed at professional and worksite use. This is a distinct product line from the Balco 500 balcony storage system and the Phase-Match energy system BLUETTI also showed at IFA — those are fixed balcony/home installs, while Elite mini is carry-anywhere portable power.

The three Elite mini models

The Elite mini Series spans three capacity points, each pitched as the smallest and lightest BLUETTI has built at that power level:

• Elite 30 mini — 300W continuous output, 288Wh capacity
• Elite 100 mini — 700W continuous output, 1,004.8Wh capacity
• Elite 200 mini — 1,600W continuous output, 2,009Wh capacity

BLUETTI's own product page for the Elite 100 mini confirms the 1,004.8Wh capacity, 700W continuous output (with a Power Lifting Mode up to 1,400W for compatible resistive appliances), a 23.6lb (10.7kg) weight, LiFePO₂ cells rated for 6,000+ cycles to 80% capacity, and a 10-millisecond UPS switchover time for backup use. It launched in the US on 2 September 2026 at $429 for the standalone unit, ahead of the wider IFA showcase.

Smaller and lighter than the Elite V2 range

The headline pitch is size. BLUETTI states the Elite mini models are approximately 15-42% smaller by volume and 7-25% lighter than the equivalent products in its existing Elite V2 Series, achieved through a redesigned internal layout rather than a change in cell chemistry. For the Elite 100 mini specifically, BLUETTI also compares it to the older AC180: about 45% less volume and roughly a third lighter. That makes the size cut across the mini range consistent with, and in some cases larger than, the V2-to-mini generational jump the company is marketing.

Each unit keeps the multi-port output, UPS backup capability and BLUETTI app control that the standard Elite V2 range offers, so the trade-off is one of physical footprint rather than feature count — useful for anyone who wants backup power that fits in a rucksack or a car boot rather than a utility cupboard.

Who it's aimed at

BLUETTI is positioning the Elite mini Series around four use cases: camping and outdoor trips, emergency/power-cut backup at home, RV and travel power, and general portability where a full-size power station is overkill. The UPS switchover time (10ms on the Elite 100 mini) means it can sit inline with sensitive electronics — routers, laptops, medical equipment — and take over instantly during a mains outage, which is the same core appeal as off-grid solar setups scaled down to a single portable unit rather than a whole-home installation.

Pioneer 5000: a separate, much bigger launch

Alongside the Elite mini Series, BLUETTI also showed the Pioneer 5000, a portable generator built for heavier professional loads rather than camping or home backup. It's a different class of product entirely: IP65-rated against water and dust ingress, aimed at construction sites, equipment rental, emergency response and events rather than domestic use. BLUETTI has not detailed UK consumer pricing or availability for the Pioneer 5000, and its scale puts it well outside the portable power-station category the Elite mini Series sits in — worth knowing so the two aren't confused as variants of the same product.

UK availability

The Elite 100 mini launched first in the US market on 2 September 2026 via the BLUETTI Store and Amazon; BLUETTI has not yet confirmed UK pricing, launch dates or retail availability for any of the three Elite mini models at the time of writing. Given BLUETTI's existing UK storefront already sells the Elite 30 V2 and other Elite-range units, a UK rollout of the mini line is plausible but unconfirmed — we'll update this piece once BLUETTI publishes UK-specific details.

What we still don't know

BLUETTI's IFA showcase confirmed the headline capacities and the volume/weight reduction versus Elite V2, but several details remain open: full UK pricing across all three mini models, exact dimensions for the Elite 30 mini and Elite 200 mini, and a firm UK release date.
