What I noticed

Pylontech's US-series batteries are the lithium storage modules most UK installers default to when an off-the-shelf cell is needed. The US5000 is the current 5kWh variant — a 48V LiFePO4 module designed to pair with any compatible 48V hybrid inverter (Solis, Sunsynk, Growatt, GoodWe, Solax, and many others).

Stackable up to 16 modules (~80kWh total) for larger installs. The LiFePO4 chemistry gives ~6000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge — competitive with premium AIOs at a fraction of the £/kWh cost.

Who it suits

Default cell choice for any install pairing with a third-party hybrid inverter. Particularly strong for budget-conscious solar households where the inverter is sized to also handle batteries (saving the cost of a dedicated battery inverter).

What I'd watch for

No inverter included — total install cost adds £800-2000 for a compatible hybrid inverter on top of the cell price. Cooling is passive — for installs in warm garages or south-facing utility rooms, factor in ventilation. The US5000C is the current revision; verify you're not being offered older US5000A/B stock.
