The current aroTHERM range

Vaillant sells two heat pump families for UK homes, both monobloc units where the refrigerant circuit stays outdoors and only water pipes and an electrical connection cross into the house:

aroTHERM plus — the established range

aroTHERM pro — compact R290, new build and social housing (from April 2026)

Vaillant began UK delivery of the aroTHERM pro in the 5kW and 7kW outputs from April 2026, with the 11kW model following from June 2026, according to Vaillant Group's own launch announcement and coverage in Installer Online. All three models run on R290 as standard and share a compact footprint (as tight as 750mm x 454mm on the smaller units) with a reduced minimum distance from the building, aimed squarely at space-restricted new-build and social housing sites, though the range is available to the wider installer market too. UK installed pricing

A full aroTHERM plus installation — unit, hot water cylinder and labour — typically lands somewhere around £9,000 to £15,000 before any grant for a mid-sized 3-4 bedroom home, with quotes for larger properties or full-system upgrades running higher, based on figures reported across several UK heat pump review sites. Applying the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant reduces that by £7,500, and if your property is off the mains gas grid (oil, LPG or direct electric heating), Ofgem's guidance confirms a further £1,500 uplift (to £9,000 total) is available for ASHP and GSHP installations between 21 July 2026 and 31 March 2027, per GOV.UK's scheme guidance and Ofgem's own BUS page. Warranty

Vaillant's standard aroTHERM warranty is 2 years as supplied, but it extends significantly when fitted and registered by an accredited installer: registering with a Vaillant Advance installer, alongside a Vaillant hot water cylinder, and completing registration within 30 days of commissioning, can extend cover to up to 7 years on parts and labour, according to Vaillant's own UK product pages. Annual servicing by a qualified engineer is required throughout to keep the extended cover valid — missing a service typically voids the extended term back down to the base 2-year cover.

MCS certification and BUS eligibility
